F. Acquisition, development or upgrading of research equipment for the selected centres in Bulgaria, Greece and Romania
The three selected centres will be directed to specialized capabilities and their research equipment will be accordingly improved, developed and upgraded.

All selected centres will emphasise to the direction of:

Implementation of new biotechnological methods on silkworm breeding for the approach of specific targets.

Intensifying silkworm rearing and improving its economic output by investing modern technologies and alternative product directions.

Modern methods for the identification and registration of existing local genetic recourses of silkworm and mulberry and new aspects in cocoon processing ? special properties and uses of silk fibre

For the above purposes it will be necessary to obtain some new laboratory equipment, especially in the direction of sample preparations for further DNA analysis, and some additional equipment to the rest of the above described directions as well.
